Hello everyone, we didn't talk too much about the hours requirement. But I wanted to highlight that Kaitlin has already researched volunteering at the SPCA LA in Long Beach and they are starting their new training in January. You may want to touch base with her to get some information. If you missed January training you may have to wait another 6 months.

Thank you for the message and heads up! I have anticipated the volunteering hours as ABC requires them too, and have been volunteering with LBACS. Also another heads up, you have to complete ‘fear free shelter’ module online and you need 12-16 hours of non-dog handling hours before you can start handling dogs at LB Animal shelter/LBACS! And after you finish those 12 hours, you have to schedule 2 more training sessions with the dog handling person. I’m almost in the process of setting up those sessions - I just completed about 15 hours with them as of yesterday.
